Welcome to the first installment of the MW Guest Blogger Series!
I couldn’t be more excited to have such amazing people lined up to be guest bloggers!
I am starting my first guest blog post with a birth photographer that inspires me! Lynsey Stone amazes me with her passion for birth photography and her work rocks!
(I am hoping that a few more of my inspirational birth photographers will allow me to highlight them as well! )
Birth Photography has become a huge passion of mine and the plans I have to excel in this branding of photography is huge! I am so grateful to people like Lynsey and so many others that I look up to on a daily basis! I am doing my guest blog posts as a question and Answer format because I want you to get to know the photographers that Inspire me and where they have come from and how they have celebrated their successes today!!
I believe that Birth Photography is going to be the next best thing and I plan on enjoying the ride and making it as big of an event as a wedding is!
So it is my honor to introduce to you, Lynsey Stone of Lynsey Stone Photography
I give my guests a list of questions to answer and they can either choose all of them or the ones that fit them the best!!

How long have you been doing Photography?
I have been doing photography since 2006
Do you specialize in any other areas of Photography?
Only Birth![]()
Are you self taught and what do you shoot with?
I am self taught and I am a Nikon Girl!

When Starting out what are some things that you wish you had done different?
I don’t really wish that I did anything differently, to be honest when I started out, birth photography wasn’t even something that people did,
so I just had to learn and figure everything out as I went and tried to do the best that I could!
Do you have a studio ?
I shoot on location – birth centers, home births and hospitals

Do you have a favorite moment about a session, an image capture or anything related to photography that you want to share?
It is hard to think of one favorite moment from a birth that I have photographed!
One of my all time favorite births was that of a friend who had an unassisted home birth. it was just so unique
and I had never seen anything like it before! I loved every minute of it!
Another was that of a client who had given birth to her first baby prematurely and didn’t
even get to see him before he was rushed away to the NICU,
When her second son was born, big healthy and full term, we was plopped right onto her chest
and the cries and happy screams that erupted out of her were INCREDIBLE to hear!
I think that everyone in the room was crying!
Do you have any major goals you are wanting to accomplish this year?
I would so love to be published again!!
Tell me a little about yourself in a non- photography way!
I have been married for almost 12 years and my husband and I have 4 children that are almost 14, 10, 7 and 3 :0) I would love to have one more baby sometime soon!
I would like to share with you some of Lynsey’s AMAZING work that she gave to me to post for you to see!

Thanks for having her as a guest blogger! She’s an amazing photographer!
Love this idea of doing guest blogging. I can’t wait to see all the posts from everyone.
So funny that you posted this today. I was supposed to do my very first birth session soon, but last night my client gave birth within 2 hours of arriving at the hospital. Everything moved so fast they didn’t have time to call!
Oh gosh, I love birth photography. Amazing! I think that if I got pregnant again, I would totally do this. She has amazing talent and the black and white really help tell stories.
What a great idea to do a guest photographer. Beautiful images. And it was fun to learn about the photographer, as well.
